FAMILY
THERAPY
Sometimes the person we need to hear us most isn’t ourselves at all—it’s someone with whom we live or grew up that we want to hear our voice. Family sessions are a great opportunity to open that very channel of communication, to break down barriers, and reduce conflict with those who matter most to us.
FAQ About Family Therapy
-
Family sessions can provide greater awareness about the unique culture, behavior patterns, and challenges of your family system. By incorporating greater insight with new approaches in communication, families and their members learn about how best to serve both the needs of themselves and the family.
-
Anything discussed with your therapist during session is confidential, with very few exceptions. Our clinicians follow strict professional codes of ethics and are fully compliant with HIPAA laws to ensure that your information and content remains private. Within family therapy, all participating family members’ privacy is protected.
-
Family sessions are typically scheduled for once a week, but more frequent sessions are possible depending on need. Your therapist will workout a schedule that works best for your family, so all members can attend sessions consistently to make the most progress.
